Sarah has been nothing short of amazing! She is my first LC outside of the hospital but this is my second child/second attempt at exclusively breastfeeding. My first time (with my first child) was not as successful as I wanted it to be and I assume it’s because I was uneducated and too stressed. Apparently my babies don’t like to gain weight - insert eye roll here. Sarah has been extremely informative and nurturing. My husband and I have learned so much. As a first time mom, I felt very defeated when my newborn didn’t want to breastfeed after we left the hospital. I was unable to get into an appointment anywhere else for weeks but Sarah was able to see me the next day. Sarah has been great, we spent over an hour together during our first visit and she gave me tips and tricks on what would work for my baby and it made a world of a difference - I probably only needed to go to the first consult appointment but have been taking advantage of the additional visits to ensure a smooth transition for both me and my baby. Sarah showed my husband ways to help me too which made feeding more of a team bonding experience which we’re super thankful for!

Mrs. Sarah is everything I wanted in a lactation consultant. She’s patient, kind, loving, professional, personable, and knowledgeable. She has made this experience very comfortable and welcoming. She’s answered every question I’ve had and more. She’s such a delight! My family is also comfortable with her presence and expertise. She’s amazing and I love working with her. Sarah was so compassionate and kind while meeting our first child. We had a hospital stay after delivery and were so frustrated and confused on how to make feeding our baby successful. She not only treated me as a mom with compassion but reassured me and my doubts. I was afraid to reach out for help thinking there is only one right way to feed your baby, but Sarah helped us with a plan that worked for our family and most importantly our daughter.

Before I started having sessions, I was concerned about my milk supply. Mrs, Sarah has helped me try to get a better supply & has given me the tools to do that. She has been nice and very understanding. Any time I text her, I always get a fast and helpful response. She also does an amazing job with my newborn at every session. Sarah was my saving grace when it came to starting my breastfeeding journey. I left my first appointment with her 100 times more confident and able to properly nurse my son and 100 times more informed about my body and my son’s needs. Sarah has truly been a life saver for me during my breastfeeding endeavors. I’ve had quite a few hurdles along the way but she never fails to help me through it, warmly. She’s very kind and informative and she just keeps you calm, like she has no doubt the issue will get resolved. This means a lot to me as a mom with big anxiety. I recommend her to anybody who asks me anything about breastfeeding because she just really gives you everything you need to know, and not in an overwhelming way & she’s always available for follow up questions & has never been a hint of rude to me, no matter what time of day i bother her with questions. She provided me with helpful information and I researched breastfeeding for over a year before I started. I saw her when my baby was about 2 months. I can’t thank her enough.

I came to Sarah, because I was in need of an IBCLC and I am glad that I did. My baby is 4 months old and has had blood in her stool. I've gone on an elimination diet for months now with no results and my baby has gained weight slowly. The pediatrician sent me to a GI doctor who told me to quit breastfeeding and switch to formula. This made my heart sink and I felt panicked. After meeting with Sarah for the first time, I felt more at ease and she really made me comfortable and she seems very educated on breastfeeding. She ensured me that my baby's weight was okay, but still came up with a plan to help my baby gain weight and suggested things the pediatrician or other lactation consultants never suggested. She even fit me in her schedule a few times to test my baby's stool. While we are still trying to figure out exactly what my baby is allergic to, I feel more confident now that I can continue to make breastfeeding work. If I did decide to go to formula, I know Sarah would still give me support in that decision. If I didn't reach out to an IBCLC, I probably would have given up on breastfeeding by now. Although she does in home visits, I've always met her in her office, which is nice and quiet and comfortable and conveniently located in Summerville, as I live in Ridgeville.

Sarah was an absolute lifesaver to my baby's feeding journey. She reached out so quickly and listened to everything I needed to get off my chest about my struggles with breastfeeding (both nursing and pumping). She gave me recommendations over the phone and came out to do a home visit the following day. Sarah was so kind and thorough in her evaluation and made me feel supported in my decisions to experiment with a combo feeding of both nursing and bottle feeding my expressed milk. She has been readily available to touch base with when I need extra support or have questions. Without her intervention, I am not sure where we would be at with breastfeeding.

I really can’t thank her enough for how incredibly supportive she was for me. She has a way of sharing her strength with the women she’s working with and she truly cares about her clients. Sarah is absolutely amazing. Without her and her knowledge on breastfeeding I would not have been able to breastfeed my daughter. The hospital did not have any lactation specialists the day I delivered and the hospital was pushing me to pump and not breastfeed. Sarah came that same day and walked me through everything. My daughter was able to latch and has been doing great ever since. The best thing is Sarah is available for me anytime to ask questions. I highly recommend her for any of your needs

Sarah is absolutely amazing. She helped me through a very bumpy breast feeding journey, full of tongue/lip ties, a lazy feeder and an infant who didn’t want to gain weight. She helped me with trying everything to make my journey successful and even when I decided to stop nursing she still made me feel like everything was going to be ok. She was truly such a positive part of my early journey into mamahood and I can’t thank her or recommend her enough!

I wish the Lactation Station was around when I had my three babies! I was however, lucky enough to have Sarah as a lactation consultant after all 3 births and she helped me have successful experiences every time! I went on to breastfeed each child for 2+ years! I knew I could call or see Sarah anytime i had a question, or if I were having any difficulty. I highly recommend her!
